I have configured IIS7 on my Vista Home Premium as it shows in both the online tutorial and the WMV clip. I don't have FTP Publishing Service as one of the options in Windows Features, but other than that everything works the same as the documentation shows. When I get to the part where I type 'http://localhost/' in the browser, all I get is the message "UNABLE TO CONNECT" not the IIS7 welcome page.

    What do I do now?

I have configured IIS7 on my Vista Home Premium but the SQL Server Report Services set-up does not seem to be able to find it and therefore will not install. What do I need to do to get Report Services loaded in either the Eval or the SQL Server Express Advanced versions? I also tried to install SQL Server SP 2 but it doesn't seem to run on these versions since it shows a status of "Not Valid" for them.

I am currently reading Microsoft ASP.NET 3.5 Step by Step by George Shepherd. I am running Vista Ultimate and installed Visual Studio 2008 express. I have made all of the setting based on the helpful video above. When I try to install the "code" from the CD, which includes .net 3.5 feature, it tells me that IIS 7 is not running. Which setting would need to be set to run 3.5?

Hi bilalahmed_malik - solving your permission issue will depend in part on what OS and IIS version you're using. Please post your detailed question in the forums at http://forums.iis.net. Thanks!

    if http://localhost/ doesn't work, try http://127.0.0.1

Google information on the "hosts" (no extension, just a txt file) file deep inside your system folder.
