I just set it up exactly as in the video and it works. This is so much easier to set up than in earlier versions. Last time I had to set up PHP on IIS I nearly tore all my hair out. This is a big improvement over earlier versions of IIS.

I have installed (and re-installed 2008 server 5 times trying to get php to work with fastcgi for php! This is such a load of crap! I thought 2003 was bad but this takes the cake. I really thought from all the install tutorials and video's about installing php on iis7 that it would be a simple process but no... just the same errors over and over and over!!! Can anyone give me step by step instructions from a fresh install of 2008 server? (before iis is installed)? Sorry to be so abrupt but this is getting old fast!

I installed PHP and FastCGI through Web Platform Installer and it worked flawlessly for Server Standard 2008 and IIS 7. FastCGI settings then showed up in IIS 7 Manager and already shows the php-cgi application registered.
