Walkthrough Goal
This topic leads you through the steps to install the Microsoft Administration Pack, or AdminPack.msi.
To install Administration Pack:
1. Download and install the Administration Pack V1 for IIS 7.0 from,
Note: A “Typical” install would install: Configuration Editor, FastCGI UI, ASP.NET UI and Request Filtering UI.
2. Complete the installation.
3. Launch the IIS Manager by going to run > inetmgr

Issue: Cannot install Administration Pack when Shared Configuration is turned on
You cannot install the Administration Pack on a computer that has shared configuration turned on. For more information about a workaround, see http://www.iis.net.
Issue: "Another version of this product is already installed"
We currently do not support upgrading from Administration Pack CTP1 or Admininistration Pack CTP2 to the Administration Pack RTW version. Before you install Administration Pack for IIS 7.0 you must uninstall Administration Pack TP1 or Administration Pack TP2 by selecting Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Issue: Where is Database Manager?
For CTP2 and going forward we have decided to ship Database Manager outside of the Administration Pack. The scenarios covered by the Database Manager are different enough from the Administration Pack to merit separation. You can find Database Manager in the Download Center at:
